RIP Rupert Serrano (updated with Funeral Service schedule)

This is a very sad day for the NAGVA community where we lost a good friend, a good player and one of the most positive spirit out there.

Rupert Serrano passed away due to Pneumonia (?) this morning after spending at least a month in the hospital in life support. Rupert was scheduled to play in Emerald City Cat Fight in Seattle last month with Seattle Battle Cattle but was sent to the hospital days before the tournament.

If you don't know Rupert, he was one the people we know who is high spirited, tons of positive energy and makes sure he makes everybody happy and laugh. He was also known for his very famous huge Red Fans and Kabuki umbrellas walking around and snapping it around.

You will be missed Rupert! Our prayers goes to you and your family! We Love you!

Thank you for posting this. I went to high school with Rupert in Michigan and he was one of the sweetest people I had met there. I consider it a privilege to have known him. You will be missed, my old friend.
